Job Title: Commercial Sales & Service Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Commercial Sales & Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and advisory support to the team, identifying business opportunities, and developing relationships with customers and centres of influence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and advisory support to the team on credit analysis, structuring, pricing, and transactions assessment.
  • Identify business opportunities and develop relationships with customers and centres of influence.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external networks and referral sources to ensure ongoing growth of BMO's business.
  • Provide accurate information about business banking products and services to customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and maintain long-term, profitable relationships with customers.
  • Break down complex problems and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Coordinate the management of databases and ensure alignment and integration of data.
  • Build change management plans and lead or participate in change management activities.
  • Provide advice and support on unique and complex credit transactions.
  • Examine credit transactions and related reporting for adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Develop risk profiles, credit structuring of lending proposals, and complete credit investigations.
  • Understand customer needs and offer financial solutions that meet customer goals.
  • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to build trust and provide expertise, responsive service, and support.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
  • Provide advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of CMS Compass Program or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of business banking products, lending processes and loan documentation, and supporting policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Strong experience with customer sales and service.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills.

  • Data driven decision making.
Salary:

$96,500.00 per year
