Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on our range of business banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve sales targets and grow our client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Provide expert advice on our range of business banking products and services, including lending, cash management, and trade finance.
  • Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns to attract new clients and promote our products and services.
  • Collaborate with our credit and risk teams to ensure that all lending decisions are made in accordance with our credit policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to differentiate ourselves and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our internal stakeholders, including our sales, marketing, and credit teams.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to our management team on sales performance, client engagement, and business development activities.

Requirements:

  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of business banking products and services, including lending, cash management, and trade finance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
