Catering Supervisor

Seeking a Catering Supervisor to work with a client-focused team in downtown Vancouver, providing training and support to ensure exceptional food and beverage services.

As a Catering Supervisor, you will work closely with management to improve operational systems, provide training and support to staff, and ensure that all services meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for delegating tasks, monitoring staffing levels, and maintaining inventory levels. You will also be expected to proactively resolve issues related to food, service, and employee concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with management to improve operational systems and processes
- Provide training and support to staff to ensure exceptional customer service
- Delegate daily and weekly tasks to service staff
- Monitor staffing levels and maintain inventory levels
- Proactively resolve issues related to food, service, and employee concerns
- Ensure compliance with Compass Group Canada's Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program
About You:
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members
- Must maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in high-pressure environments
- Physically able to lift objects up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to work on their feet for most of the day
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
- A minimum of three years supervisory or management experience in the catering industry
- Experience in developing and implementing training materials and practices
- Serving It Right certification
