Assistant Retail Store Leader

For over 24 years, Rocky has crafted everyday essentials in soap, skin, body, and haircare. With 12 stores in Western Canada and plans for growth, Rocky is focused on connecting customers to nature across the country, passionate about growing its culture-focused team, and committed to making a positive impact.
The Assistant Retail Store Leader is responsible for supporting the Store Leader in the day-to-day operations of their Rocky Mountain Soap location and leading the customer and employee experience within. In the absence of the Store Leader, their accountability is the complete and seamless operations of the store location and ensuring that the customer and employee experience is engaging and authentic.
**Key Responsibilities:** * Consistently set the example by demonstrating personal customer service and selling skills aligned with Rocky's service standards and expectations * Support the Store Leader in utilizing RMSC training tools to train, develop, and actively coach and support the team to delight the customer as they experience our products * Address customer concerns and complaints readily and with intent to exceed what's expected * In the absence of the Store Leader, lead and motivate the store team and consistently set the example of demonstrating and living by the RMSC core values * Actively work to improve the performance of oneself by pursuing opportunities for continuous learning and feedback * Supported by the Store Leader, coach, guide, and genuinely connect with your team, providing consistent and thoughtful feedback to ensure your team knows where they stand and how they contribute to the team * Support the Store Leader in ensuring all inventory management processes are completed * Report quality issues timely and ensure all products on the sales floor meet our brand standards for quality and presentation * Lead the store in all sustainability efforts and initiatives * Actively lead and coach all team members to drive revenue and performance metrics **Requirements:** * A natural leader with a growth mindset, inspired by our company's purpose, and wants to share that with your team and customers * A passion for retail with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to develop business skills * A team player with an interest in being a coach * A love for natural products and a desire to share your passion with your team and customers * An ability and passion to have fun, laugh, and promote kindness * A fearlessness to 'give it a go' **What's in it for you:** * Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience * Opportunity to earn additional monthly retail bonuses based on performance * Significant product discounts and quarterly allowances * Subsidized group medical and dental benefits for you and your family * Share in Rocky's success - The Great Game profit sharing program * Generous paid annual vacation and personal days * Healthy lifestyle support through an annual allowance * Access to a dedicated Rocky coach to help you optimize your potential * The opportunity to participate in Culture Club organized activities-
