Job Title: Credit Risk Specialist
Assess credit worthiness, structure credit for assigned portfolios, and drive profitable business growth while adhering to TD's credit risk policies.
About the Role:
This is a professional role requiring a depth of knowledge and expertise in credit risk management, with a focus on assessing credit worthiness and structuring credit for assigned portfolios. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable business growth while adhering to TD's credit risk policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess credit risk in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements to increase profitability and enable business growth
- Structure credit for assigned portfolios, with a focus on assessing credit worthiness and driving profitable business growth
- Support the Relationship Manager in booking new business by preparing competitive credit packages in a timely manner to meet customer needs
- Continually deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously improve the customer experience
- Lead all aspects of analysis for assigned portfolios, including identifying and responding to changes in the business environment
- Assist the Relationship Manager in cross-selling the full range of products to existing and new customers, as applicable to maximize revenue and retention of relationships
- Actively refer to other business partners across TD and respond effectively to reciprocal referrals
- Assess credit risk in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements to increase profitability and enable business growth
- Proactively promote products, sales, services, and banking capabilities
- Contribute to Operational Excellence business objectives and identify, suggest, and actively participate in process improvement opportunities
- Complete business processes and procedures as well as monitoring and control activities in a timely and accurate manner
- Protect the interests of the organization - identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions/activities as necessary
- Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines/corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
- Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all customer transactions/activities
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
- Assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct
