Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Team Assistant to provide administrative support to our Care Coordinators. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators, including processing new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment.
  • Process and assist in managing confidential patient records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enter, update, and maintain a high volume of patient data in our electronic database, utilizing your proficiency in database software.
  • Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, providing exceptional customer service and referring callers as necessary.
  • Provide back-up support to other positions, as required, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • A college diploma in the health or social services field, or business/office administration, is preferred.
  • 2+ years of related office experience, with a strong background in healthcare administration.
  • Accurate keyboarding/data-entry skills, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windows environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet performance and service goals.
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to meet organizational needs.
