Internal Wholesaler, ETF Job Title: Internal Wholesaler, ETF About the Role:

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of the investment market and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales results for ETF products through non-affiliated or third-party Advisory intermediaries and within BMO Advisory channels.
  • Work closely with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders to build relationships and drive results.
  • Propose investment solutions to clients and make recommendations based on an understanding of their needs and market opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a business plan, including sales strategies, to achieve sales objectives and acquire new clients.
  • Participate in industry and intermediary events to grow presence in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrate expertise in speaking to macro economic conditions, financial markets, and various investment vehicles.
  • Organize and arrange regular conference calls and presentations to promote new strategies.
  • Partner with team members to encourage strategic region management and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Take initiative to identify new clients and convert prospects into new relationships.
  • Manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Use Salesforce/customer relationship management systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelines.
  • Think creatively and propose new solutions.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 5 years of relevant work experience in Inside Sales Wholesaling, Financial Planning, Personal Banking, or Investment Specialists roles.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completed Canadian Securities Course, CIM, or CFP certifications are strong assets.
  • Basic understanding of intermediary Advisory sales and the Investment market.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience in Western Canada is a strong asset.
  • Ability to conduct effective sales conversations on investment strategies and solutions over the phone with Advisors internally or externally to BMO.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration and team skills.
  • Influence skills.
Compensation:

The salary for this role is $82,500.00 per year, with a hybrid work arrangement expected – 4 days in the office minimum.
