About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Diet Technician to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition Services team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutritional services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Nutritional Screening and Assessment: Conduct thorough nutritional screenings of patients to identify malnutrition risk and provide recommendations for dietary interventions.
  2. Dietary Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized dietary plans for patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  3. Communication and Coordination: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care coordination and timely updates on patient progress.
  4. Inventory Management and Supply Chain: Oversee the inventory of specialty formulas and related items, ensuring timely ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies.
  5. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Participate in quality assurance programs, audits, and inspections to maintain high standards of care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Staff Management and Scheduling: Prepare and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  7. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, staff schedules, and inventory management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduation from a recognized two-year program in Food Service Supervision, plus one year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Certifications and Skills: Current Food Safe Level II certificate, with excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
