**Job Description:**

As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of employees, ensuring productivity, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

  • Supervise and coordinate staff activities, including food preparation, portioning, and serving.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Prepare food order summaries for chefs according to customer requests.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Supervise the assembly of regular and special diet trays and delivery of food trolleys to hospital patients.
  • Ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in developing policies, procedures, and budgets.
  • Plan cafeteria menus and determine related food and labor costs.

**Requirements:**

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months supervisory/lead experience.
  • Food & Beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents.
  • Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
  • First Aid and Food Safety Certificate an asset.

**Job Details:**

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • $16.00/hour salary.
