Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team at Happy Wonders Childcare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, security, and well-being of our children.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, training, and volunteers, as well as developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role requires a strong understanding of licensing regulations and the ability to assess children's development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assess children's development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Judgement
  • Team player
  • Ability to multitask
