Job Title: Career Programming Strategist

Join the UBC Sauder School of Business team as a Career Programming Strategist and play a key role in supporting students to become career-ready graduates. As a member of the Hari B. Varshney Business Career Centre, you will design, coordinate, and deliver career development programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement career development programs that align with the Career Development Model and external trends in the world of work.
  • Collaborate with partners to deliver high-quality programs and services to students, including career coaching and advising, facilitation, and classroom support.
  • Manage the operations of career development programming, including room bookings and faculty liaison.
  • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of career learning for students, collecting and recording information and feedback, analyzing, documenting, and reporting results.
  • Train employees, student employees, and volunteers, including peer leaders and coaches.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three to four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one's own.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one's own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated competence in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, workshops, or events for students and/or professionals.
  • Experience using web-based platforms and instructional technology to teach and engage students.
  • Experience working with management to executive-level leadership in one or more of the areas of career coaching, recruitment, training, and learning development, career services delivery.
  • Knowledge of analytics required (Learning Management System analytics, Google Analytics, or equivalent).
