Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Magna Exteriors is a leading innovator in vehicle exteriors, providing a comprehensive range of products and services to the automotive industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is a key role that requires a strong technical background in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process development and improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of new products from Advanced Product Development to Operations, following established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a smooth transition of new products from Advanced Product Development to Operations, following established practices and procedures.
  • Assist in part design activities with design sources and provide feasibility directives for ease of manufacturing and cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for PFMEA, Operator Instructions, Rework, Change-over procedure and instruction, Manufacturing Engineering Open Issues, and Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Track and manage new product launch key milestones, launch KPIs, test incidents, customer rejects, and high-risk items.
  • Coordinate, lead, and participate in multi-disciplined teams to address and fulfill corporate objectives related to manufacturing process, productivity, volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitment.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve process deviations, reduce scrap, and maximize efficiencies.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer with a strong technical background in manufacturing engineering. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering degree or diploma, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use.
  • Familiarity with FMEA and APQP.
