Banquet Operations Manager

As a Banquet Manager at The Westin Calgary, you will be responsible for directing and motivating a team to provide exceptional service to our guests. You will be the point of contact for event planning and execution, ensuring that every detail is taken care of to exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage banquet operations, including supply needs, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Apply knowledge of laws and regulations related to events to ensure compliance.
- Understand the impact of banquet operations on event success and manage activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain established sanitation levels and manage departmental inventories.
- Schedule banquet service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.
- Assist team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth.
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of food and wine pairings and cutting-edge cuisine.
