Your work environment at EXP

As part of the mining team in St John, NL office.

What a day at EXP entails

  • Collaborate with the lead engineer and designers to create accurate drawing packages
  • Electrical drafting including various diagrams, plans, and schematics
  • Aid in designing power & lighting layouts, fire alarm systems, and more
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Microstation, or REVIT for drafting purposes
  • Prepare project documentation packages and support multiple projects

Requirements for the role

  • 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial design, EPCM environment preferred
  • Instrumentation experience is a must
  • Technical college graduate with expertise in mining or related fields
  • Prior design experience, especially in consulting and mining projects
  • Familiarity with PLC and instrumentation design
  • Strong focus on Safety and Quality
  • Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software like AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and systems coordination
