The Engineering Services Division is focused on providing quality project management, engineering design services, and engineering support for capital projects and operating programs. Our long-term Asset Management Plan includes an ambitious capital program to rebuild, renew, and replace portions of our installed asset base.

Job Summary:

We currently have a position in the Electrical Engineering Department for an Electrical Engineer. If you are an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual; have a robust learning ability; possess strong oral and written communication skills; are an effective team member and possess good leadership, you can make a significant contribution to the Department's initiatives and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical analysis, design and tender preparation;
  • Preparation of project proposals (capital & operating);
  • Preparation of engineering reports;
  • Technical operations support;
  • Equipment trouble shooting/investigation;
  • Preparation of project estimates, schedules and resource requirements;
  • Application of new technologies and products;
  • Project management.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Electrical) - equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered;
  • You will be eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL);
  • A limited license to practice in the appropriate area through PEGNL will also be considered;
  • Project management experience or certification;
  • Proven communication, team and leadership skills;
  • Must possess and maintain an appropriate valid driver's license;
  • Willingness to travel.
