About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Primary Health Care. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy. Your responsibilities will include working on selected medical services, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, completing medication reconciliation, participating in interprofessional medical rounds, providing patient education, and making therapeutic recommendations to the medical team.

This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be required to travel with this position.

About You

We are looking for a highly qualified individual with a strong background in pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy, completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program, and licensure to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia. Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics, effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs are essential.

Hours

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $43.68 - $53.24. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
