Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 45 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 36 aircraft and employs more than 1,100 employees in one of the world's most challenging flight environments.

Air Inuit Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to pursuing their tradition of providing safe, punctual and courteous air service for the growing number of people living and doing business in this enchanting region of Nunavik in Northern Québec.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the responsibility of the director - human resources, the HR business partner - Talent acts, in collaboration with the human resources team, as an ambassador of the employee's experience both internally and externally of Air Inuit.

RECRUITMENT

  • Implement effective talent search tactics and strategies tailored to the diverse needs of the organization;
  • Promote the Air Inuit brand but also the Employee Value Proposition to candidates (EVP);
  • Act as a key business partner by advising and supporting managers during the recruitment process;
  • Contribute to the enhancing of Air Inuit and proactively identify profiles (Sourcing of potential);
  • Establish partnerships with organizations that can contribute to the development of pools of potential candidates;
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates for various key positions.
  • Train managers on recruitment and interview techniques.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION

  • Develop and implement the strategic action plan on diversity, equity and inclusion;
  • Identify and promote initiatives to increase the career paths of members of Inuit communities within Air Inuit;
  • Establish collaborations with various external resources to achieve our diversity, equity and inclusion targets;
  • Development program.

FORMER EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE

  • Follow up on employees leaving Air Inuit as well as exit interviews;
  • Analyze the causes of departures and make recommendations to improve the employee experience.

iNUIT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop and manage a skills development and coaching program for employees from Inuit communities.
  • Promote jobs and careers through Air Inuit to Inuit communities;
  • Create partnerships with the various stakeholders in the Inuit communities;
  • Develop a cultural awareness and training plan for employees.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop and organize talent development programs, including leadership development.
  • Identifies opportunities for employee skills development.
  • Collaborates on succession development programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations;
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • CRHA member (an asset);
  • Aviation experience (an asset);
  • Experience with Inuit communities (an asset);
  • Knowledge of an HRIS (ideally WFN from ADP and Synerion, would be an asset);
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (French-English);
  • Ability to work in a team, manage priorities with autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Rigor, professionalism and a sense of ethics in the performance of their duties.
