JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Patient Flow, the successful candidate contributes to the department's success primarily as: (a) coordinator of improvement of operational and administrative processes in the Emergency Department; and (b) leader in the search for innovative alternative solutions and change management in the Emergency Department and the facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in health sciences and/or administration;
  • Graduate degree in a related field considered an asset;
  • PMI certification considered an asset;
  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma certification or obtaining certification within set timeframe;
  • Minimum of five years in process improvement and/or project management, change management or quality improvement;
  • Experience in the health field considered an asset;
  • Excellent skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and Visio application;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills;
  • Sound judgment accompanied by listening, analysis, synthesis, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills;
  • Transformational leadership;
  • Ability to motivate and engage others and to act as a change agent;
  • Drive and creative reasoning in the performance of duties;
  • Ability to travel within Vitalité Health Network and the province;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
