Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Lead to join our team at Walmart Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Store Management, Market Management, and Subject Matter Experts to educate associates and managers on compliance programs.
  • Monitor compliance controls in facilities, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to build trust with customers, associates, stakeholders, and regulatory entities.
  • Deliver compliance and safety awareness leveraging Ethics and Compliance resources.
  • Conduct assessments in facilities across designated compliance subject matter areas, including Health & Safety/Fire Code, Environmental, Consumer Protection, Anti Money Laundering, Food Safety/Pest Control, Privacy & Employment, Licenses & Permits, and Anti-Corruption.
  • Deliver on-the-spot compliance training at all levels within facilities, including the Compliance portion of new associate orientation.
  • Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and/or trends, identify root causes, and support the creation and execution of action plans to mitigate risk and drive compliance execution.
  • Participate in regulatory visits, including online submission and engaging appropriate partners for resolution of orders or fines.
  • Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process, including online submission, accident investigations, modified offer letters, and follow-up until resolution.
  • Foster 2-way communication with Store Management to ensure attendance management, progress note completion, and accountability occur as required.
  • Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders.
  • Submit and follow up on Facilities Maintenance requests, including management of pest activity.
  • Leverage and utilize escalation tools to resolve issues and outstanding tickets.
  • Conduct safety walks and inspections as an active safety team member.
  • Follow up on action items identified through Safety Team meeting notes and inspections.
