Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Self-Checkout Attendant to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with the use of self-service options, including educating them on the correct and efficient use of these systems.
  • Promote company-sponsored programs, such as credit card services and charity initiatives, to customers as applicable.
  • Monitor customer activity and provide assistance when needed, ensuring a positive and supportive shopping environment.
  • Conduct quality checks and interventions as required, explaining the reasons for these actions to customers in a polite and reassuring manner.
  • Respond to EAS alarms and complete the necessary documentation.
  • Communicate with the Customer Service Manager regarding cash and technical issues in the self-service area.
  • Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated home after use.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of self-service systems and technology.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
