Business Analyst - Microsoft Product & Experience Design Focused

As a Business Analyst with Avanade X (Avanade's Experience Agency), you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, and bring a product mindset to ensure the work being delivered meets our client's current and future needs.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define requirements, analyze processes, and drive successful project outcomes. Your expertise in Microsoft technologies including Power Platform, D365 will be an asset.

Key Accountabilities:

Requirements gathering and analysis: Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders. Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and maintain product backlog. Minimize scope changes due to missed requirements.

Solution design: Collaborate with designers, developers and architects to design solutions, detailing user flows, and mock ups to visualize requirements. Drive user and client satisfaction.

Project management: Assist in project planning, scope definition, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery. Adhere to project schedules and deadlines. Participate in agile ceremonies & daily scrums.

Quality assurance: Validate deliverables against requirements. Structure and conduct UAT.

Key Skills and Capabilities:

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with agile methodologies, Lean, Agile, & Scrum
  • Proficient in operating ADO, JIRA, and other systems fluently
  • Expert attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Understanding and commitment to defining & delivering measurable business value
  • Ability to communicate and justify clearly decisions made on a project
  • Proficient in establishing trusted and long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Skills and experience in the following technologies are an asset: Power Platform (Power Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), D365 (CRM and ERP), and Sitecore (CMS)

  • Design Thinking Practitioner
  • Professional Scrum Certification
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner Certification
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals
  • Sitecore Certified: Experience Platform v. 10+
  • Sitecore Certified: XM Cloud

Experience & Education:

  • Diploma or degree in business, technology, digital product strategy or related subjects
  • Intermediate experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or related role with successful delivery of new products / new features
  • Experience in financial services, public sector, and utilities is an asset
  • Bilingual (French & English) an asset
