Job Description- Mechanical Expertise:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, pulleys, motors, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct thorough assessments of conveyor systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Electrical/Controls Systems Integration:
- Understand the interface between electrical/control systems and mechanical conveyor components to ensure seamless operation and integration.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and controls specialists to design, implement, and troubleshoot conveyor control systems.
- Drawing and 3D Modeling:
- Utilize drawing and 3D modeling software to create detailed designs of conveyor systems, components, and layouts.
- Ensure that designs are compatible with product models and plant layouts, optimizing space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Provide support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor systems, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and longevity of conveyor systems.
- Project Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of conveyor-related projects, providing technical expertise and support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of conveyor system upgrades or installations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of conveyor system designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project status to stakeholders and management.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in conveyor systems design, maintenance, or troubleshooting within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles, with a strong understanding of conveyor system components and functionality.
- Experience in electrical/control systems and their interface with mechanical conveyor components.
- Proficiency in drawing and 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with product models and plant layouts, with the ability to integrate conveyor system designs into existing facilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of conveyor system operations.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
