We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our specialty nursing unit, where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, provide person-centered care, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to make informed nursing decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with patients, families, and the interprofessional care team.
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in accordance with practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of the applicable post-graduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the applicable post-graduate specialty nursing courses/program.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interprofessional care team using verbal, written, and electronic communication means.
- Ability to promote person-centered care that demonstrates empathy, sensitivity to diverse cultures, and patient advocacy.
- Ability to integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to problem-solve effectively.
