About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. As a member of our team, you will provide collaborative, holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum. Your expertise in social work theory and practice will be essential in addressing the social determinants of health and promoting psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. Your 2 years' post BSW related clinical experience and previous experience working in a community-based setting will be valuable assets. You must be able to use a client-/family-centered approach, complete biopsychosocial assessments, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Travel to various sites may be required, and competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $33.96 - $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
