About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. As a member of our team, you will provide collaborative, holistic care on the primary to quaternary care continuum. Your expertise in social work theory and practice will enable you to focus on the relationships between people and their environments, which are integral to psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. They will also have 2 years' post BSW related clinical experience and demonstrated ability to use a client-/family-centered approach. Previous experience working in community-based settings is preferred.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $33.96 - $42.89 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

About You
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assist patients and families with navigation of local community resources and agencies
  • Ability to complete biopsychosocial assessments
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
