Job Title: Bilingual Collections Agent

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Collections Agent to join our team in Barrie, ON. As a Bilingual Collections Agent, you will be responsible for working with late-stage delinquency and creating financial plans to help customers get caught up. You will also be responsible for contacting past due customers through various channels, negotiating payment arrangements, and sending correspondence to collection customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with late-stage delinquency and create financial plans to help customers get caught up
  • Contact past due customers through various channels, negotiate payment arrangements, and send correspondence to collection customers
  • Address frequently asked questions and inform customers
  • Use company-specific policies and procedures to maintain and coordinate firm payment recovery
  • Assess and mitigate risk by referring accounts for further action
  • Document all call activity details in the collections system to reflect any action taken
  • Achieve individual collection targets to meet department and companywide goals
  • Provide excellent service while ensuring exceptional results in the collection of financial loans
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in office
  • MUST be able to speak, read, and write in French
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections or related financial services roles
  • Strong knowledge of collection laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS 365 (Office, Excel, Word & Teams)
