This is a rotational position with a work schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off, and flights out of Saskatoon only.

The Field Superintendent's responsibilities are:


•Ensuring contractors within their area are working in a safe manner and abiding by all safety program requirements.


•Reviewing and/or developing detailed work plans according to planning processes.


•Occasionally may perform supervision of direct field labour on mechanical/piping scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a high quality standard.


•Overseeing, in some instances the contractor's activities of a mechanical/piping nature confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements.


•Inspections of completed work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies.


•Monitoring the schedule and productivity of work and working collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers.


•Daily validation and approval of contractor-submitted labour, equipment and material reports.


•Responsible to coordinate field activities between contractors and the operations team as required.

Salary: Open to wage negotiations based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in a similar role
  • Journeyperson status in E/I or Mech
  • Previous experience with multi-discipline mechanical work
  • Previous experience in a brownfield construction environment
  • Supervisor Training (EX: SCSA Leadership for Safety Excellence, WorkSafe Sk Supervisor and Safety Workshop)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Valid First Aid
  • CSO Designation is considered an asset
  • Are you currently eligible to work in Canada? (For example permanent resident, valid work permit, etc).
