Role Summary: Reporting to the Project Director, the Lead Construction Project Manager is a seasoned construction expert with extensive experience in large-scale projects and a strong client focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and oversee the project master schedule in collaboration with the Project Management team.
  • Ensure the coordination and administration of drawings, records, revisions, site instructions, and change order processes.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure the accuracy of meeting minutes.
  • Develop the project execution plan in partnership with the Superintendent.
  • Advise the Manager on project execution challenges, potential claims, and disputes promptly.
  • Identify necessary and optional changes in project scope; review production, cost, and schedule with project staff weekly, ensuring accurate coding and cost allocation.
  • Oversee the execution of the quality control program, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Manage project closeout activities, including coordinating documentation for deficiencies, warranties, and operation and maintenance information.
  • Supervise the Subcontractor Procurement Process and monitor equipment and resource inventory.
  • Contribute to project estimating, including defining project scope, subcontractor selection, pre-award planning, and costing.
  • Complete margin forecasts in the Projects program and review with the Manager monthly, overseeing progress invoicing and receivables collection.
  • Act to resolve disputes between the company and clients or subcontractors before escalating to the Manager.
  • Take charge of developing, implementing, and executing the Project Specific Safety Plan, monitoring HSE goals and expectations through Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure a Project Quality Risk Assessment is conducted upon contract award.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing construction projects.
  • Proven experience in managing commercial projects.
  • A Technical Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing project management teams.
