POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the guidance of the Site Supervisor or Construction Manager, the Electrical Superintendent is equipped with comprehensive expertise necessary for the installation, connection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems serving diverse functions such as climate control, security, illumination, power supply, and communication networks. This role is pivotal in providing leadership and direction to on-site teams while continuously seeking enhancements in production methodologies, processes, and equipment.

POSITION SPECIFICS
  • Multiple openings available
  • Diverse project sites and varying shift patterns
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, modify, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical systems and associated equipment.
  • Interpret and apply electrical and mechanical code specifications.
  • Design layouts and illustrations for electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with job specifications and local regulations.
  • Prepare preliminary sketches and cost assessments for materials and services.
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential hazards and defects, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Oversee field teams.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Track field progress and report findings to the Site Supervisor or Construction Manager.
  • Organize work fronts and develop lookahead schedules.
  • Lead a team of 10-25 workers.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • Valid Journeyperson certificate from the relevant provincial or federal authority.
  • Current certifications in H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, and Mobile Elevated Work Platform.
Experience
  • Experience in the industrial or energy sector is essential.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Willingness to travel to various work sites.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
