Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate

Join our team as an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate and contribute to the development of regional, hybrid-specific agronomic practices.

Duration: 4 - 6 months (Summer)

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Compensation: $22 - $30 / hour

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our AP team in Saskatoon, SK as an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of professionals who are passionate about agriculture and sustainability.

About the Role
  • Conduct field trials with the local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
  • Assist with field trial activities from seeding to harvest, including seed setup, land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
  • Regularly travel in your local region for field scouting and crop health diagnosis through daily monitoring of field and research plots, data collection, and analysis.
Requirements
  • Strong agronomic competence attained through pursuing a degree in Agriculture or a related field, along with experience in the Agriculture Industry.
  • Familiarity and practical experience with agriculture equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals.
  • Previous experience in agriculture field research is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise, minimizing impact on results.
  • Driver's license.
