Join our team at North Wellington Health Care as a casual cross-site MDRD Reprocessing Technician. This role is available at the Palmerston & District Hospital site and Louise Marshall Hospital site.
About the Role- As a MDRD Reprocessing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical devices.
- You will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, and must be able to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in all areas of MDRD, including decontamination, sterile processing, and record maintenance is essential.
- You will be part of a team that is committed to providing high-quality patient care and a safe and healthy work environment.
- Knowledge of sterile department, re cross infection and decontamination principles.
- Successful completion of the Central Service Techniques Course.
- CSA Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience in all areas of MDRD, including decontamination area, sterile area, portering and dispatch, and record maintenance.
- Detail orientated with demonstrated aptitude for utmost accuracy; ability to adhere to strict procedures & protocols.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast, often time pressured and constantly changing environment.
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Moving and lifting.
- Pushing and pulling.
- Walking.
The salary for this position is $26.72 – $28.54 per hour.
