**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a key member of our Central Service Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical devices.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Knowledge of sterile department, reprocessing, and cross infection control
  • Successful completion of the Central Service Techniques Course
  • CSA Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in all areas of MDRD, including decontamination, sterile area, portering, and record maintenance
  • Detail orientated with demonstrated aptitude for utmost accuracy; ability to adhere to strict procedures & protocols
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast, often time pressured and constantly changing environment
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment including providing proof of full COVID vaccination prior to being hired

**Working Conditions:**

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Moving and lifting
  • Pushing and pulling
  • Walking

**Hours of Work:**

  • On an as needed basis
  • As per the Collective Agreement
