We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a key member of our Central Service Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of sterile department, reprocessing, and cross-infection control
  • Successful completion of the Central Service Techniques Course
  • CSA Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in all areas of MDRD, including decontamination, sterile area, portering, and dispatch, and record maintenance
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated aptitude for utmost accuracy; ability to adhere to strict procedures and protocols
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, often time-pressured environment
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment including providing proof of full COVID vaccination prior to being hired

Working Conditions:

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Moving and lifting
  • Pushing and pulling
  • Walking

Hours of Work:

  • On an as-needed basis
  • As per the Collective Agreement
