Advanced Care Paramedic Job Opportunity

Shared Health is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic to provide high-quality patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Job Summary

Provide compassionate and responsive patient care, collaborating with healthcare providers and agencies to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-hospital care to patients as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and agencies to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience as a Primary Care Paramedic and/or Intermediate Care Paramedic
  • Graduate of an Advanced Care Paramedic program from an accredited Canadian education institution
  • Certificate of Practice with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba
  • Valid Class IV Manitoba driver's license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Use of Shared Health ERS and Digital Health technology, software programs, and equipment
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift patients and equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high stress and physically demanding situations
  • Ability to travel by multiple vehicle types in inclement weather conditions
