As a Sales Representative in Admissions, you'll oversee the intake, initial reach out, and follow-up with our prospective students, and will support them throughout the application/enrollment process. You are the face of OBN and the first connection many applicants will have with our school
You will be connecting with leads and relationship-building by following up with them via email, live chat, or video call. You are responsible for answering any questions about OBN, as well as overcoming any objections, and keeping in touch with those who do not become students about potential future enrollment.
Responsibilities- Connect with prospective students to share your knowledge of OBN, our programs, and the benefits of certification with us.
- Communicate via email, live chat, and video call with prospective students, answering any program-specific questions.
- Manage leads, reach out and respond to inquiries promptly, and track their progress through the sales pipeline using our CRM.
- Maintain strong sales metrics, including conversion rates, and hitting monthly/annual student targets.
- Prioritize new and highly engaged leads, while also following up and reconnecting with previous prospective students.
- Provide the highest level of customer service while overcoming objections, and driving sales.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing, operations, and academic teams to contribute to OBNs overall success.
- Identify and share trends or insights gained from speaking with prospective students to help improve the enrollment process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the course material, payment plans, and student policies in order to properly support prospective students.
- Attend weekly or bi-weekly calls with the sales team and Director of Operations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will be representing OBN in your communication with students, which requires empathy, warmth, professionalism, encouragement, clarity, and straightforwardness.
- A love for all things holistic nutrition, as well as for connecting with others who are interested in learning how to nutritionally support mothers and babies.
- Willingness to grow, adapt, learn, and take and apply feedback. This is a role that requires learning from peers, supervisors, and students as we perfect our process.
- A team-player mentality. We're an extremely small, close-knit team and we want to keep it that way.
- Proficient in and/or eager to learn shared Gmail inbox, Google Drive (document storage), Kajabi (learning management software), Zoom (video conferencing), Slack, Notion (team communications), Zoho (CRM), and any other software we implement in the future.
- Reliable Internet and computer access as this is a fully remote role.
- Access to a quiet working environment to allow for distraction-free calls with prospective students.
Required
- Extensive sales background, ideally with admissions or enrollment experience at a post-secondary school.
- Experience as a commissioned salesperson, with proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work very well with people.
- Previous use of a CRM to track and follow up with leads.
- Enthusiasm for working in a predominantly women-focused environment, with prospective students who are mainly mothers or mothers-to-be.
Preferred
- Strong interest in or knowledge of holistic nutrition, ideally for fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and/or babies.
OBN has a fully remote team, with the ability to work from anywhere you have an internet connection. This role will require a consistent schedule comprised of 2 hours of work daily over 5 days/week.
CompensationThis role has a base hourly wage of $21 CAD. You will also earn a commission for each of your leads who enrolls, with additional bonuses for hitting intake student targets.
