Magnet Search Group is helping our client, a Global Consumer Products organization (Food & Beverage) with iconic brands look for a Senior Manager, Sales Planning & Strategy to join their team. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of sales planning processes that align with the strategic goals of the business. This individual will provide guidance on tools, process improvements, and management of optimization projects. Ultimately, they are leading the organization’s efforts to improve gross margin & sales process.


Requirements:

  • Optimize existing processes for sales strategy with the goal of improving efficiency and achieving forecast accuracy and net sales targets
  • Develop and lead annual customer/channel and trade planning process to deliver Gross Sales, Net Sales and Trade targets, ensuring linkage to brand/category strategies
  • Owns promotional strategy; handles post-event promotion analytics, including guideline development and changes to promo calendar for top customers
  • Identify opportunities, risks and solutions that balance customer and business needs. Lead Business Development Managers and Brokers in developing and optimizing promotional support plans within guardrails and with maximum return on investment
  • Own the communication of customer forecasts and impact of key demand drivers to internal stakeholders, to inform aligned demand plan.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or any other relevant field
  • Minimum of 6 years of business experience, preferably spent in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) environment
  • Critical understanding of Sales planning and Trade management as they mutually impact business planning
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills – ability to drive influence data focused conversations and decision-making
