Dr. Okrainec’s lab conducts health services and implementation focused research to improve patient, caregiver and clinician experience, care and health service use for patients transitioning in and out of hospital. Working onsite under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the post-doctoral fellow will oversee a team of research analysts and students on several funded research projects focused on integrated models of care and communication-based interventions for hospitalized patients, caregivers and clinical teams. The applicant will be encouraged to lead and explore areas of research that are within the scope of the lab and apply for grant and award funding among other tasks to support the lab and their independence and success with all skills required as a future scientist.
