Position Overview
This position works alongside the Senior Leadership Team to direct all sales activities, deliver sales targets and the performance of our Retail front line sales team consisting of Regional Managers, and Retail Field Sales Reps.
The National Sales Manager will lead and grow the field teams motivating them to drive sales. They build and cultivate solid relationship across the organization, at all levels, managing clients expectations to successfully drive and deliver our business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and execute in a timely and cost-efficient manner
- Manage retail client relationships across all levels of support and leadership
- Lead Quarterly performance reviews for sales and people
- Direct across the regional field managers to ensure success
- Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
- Develop and manage annual account compensation plans to drive delivery on sales target
- Collaborate with Training, Operations, Analytics, Accounts, and other cross-functional teams on a day-to-day basis
- Recruit, coach, train, and mentor field sales leadership
- Build a customer and team member first culture
- National travel to support retail stores in Canada and US
- University degree in a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a Retail industry with strong business acumen.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working in a leadership or management capacity.
- Prior experience and proficiency in managing overall sales and P&L
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Generates new ideas that add value, nurtures fresh approaches to problems with curiosity and generates creative solutions
- Decision Making/Problem Solving: Seeks out and considers appropriate data, intuition, ideas, and experience to make decisions and solve problems; effectively and efficiently integrates information from diverse sources
- Strong Retail Operator: Supports all retail cross-functional leaders and understands the codependences of each department
- Strong Presenter: Demonstrated dynamic presentation skills with team and clients, exuding a high-level confidence
- Strategic/Enterprise Mindset: Thinks critically, anticipates long-term challenges and trends; understands implications of decisions; translates ideas and concepts into practical applications
- Travel to different store locations, client meetings, and to other Match offices will be required
