Summary:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Plant Administrative Assistant will be responsible for key administrative functions within the plant, supporting social functions and assisting with recruitment activities.
What you’ll be contributing:
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Use SAP to create purchase requisitions, service entries, and goods receipts and Purchasing departments as well as procure office supplies.
- Create PowerPoint Presentations and other communications as required.
- Assist with scheduling internal and external meetings.
- Order lunch for meetings and visitors as requested.
- Coordinate production or externally printed communications and signage
- Act as primary point of contact for site cleaning services
- Maintain inventory of office supplies
- Work with multiple departments to streamline administrative functions and drive efficiencies
- Other administrative tasks as required
- Organize corporate events such as retirement parties, service awards, the annual golf tournament, Christmas parties, Management/ Supervisor Off site events, training week, etc.
- Help drive community outreach initiatives
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Minimum 3 years of administrative experience
- Excellent communications skills (interpersonal, presentation and written) with an ability to interface with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to anticipate and respond to customer requirements, expectations and needs
- Technologically savvy, with a full understanding and fluency in computer applications including word processing, email, internet searches, database, and presentation software (such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Pro)
- Passion for excellence in people, processes, and products
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Able to lift small objects frequently, weighing no more than 20 lbs.
- This position is sedentary in nature but may require periods of standing and walking.
Work Environment
- This position is based in an indoor, climate-controlled office space.
