TFS currently has an exciting permanent opportunity as a Manager, Protection Plans reporting to the Manager, Business Development and Strategy. The Manager, Protection Plans collaborates with stakeholders across the business and vendors to deliver innovative finance & insurance solutions that are customer centric, support our dealer partners and drive various growth opportunities. This role will reside in our Markham Head Office.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop the strategy, product development, implementation plans and processes to launch and continually enhance branded innovative finance and protection insurance (F&I) products and services which play an integral role in meeting sales, customer retention & profit targets.

  • Utilize project management, business process and change management disciplines for successful, on-budget, and on-time initiatives delivery.

  • Lead F&I project management initiatives with all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop and present business cases which include sales volume projections, budget plan, profitability, risk assessment, operational roadmap, etc. to senior management.

  • Recommend ways to improve business opportunities and profitability with a customer centric focus on growth and retention for TFS and our Distributor and Dealer partners.

  • Negotiate and manage external vendors to agreed contract obligations, SLAs, etc. This includes diverse services, i.e., administration, underwriting, actuarial, software, etc.

  • Work with our dealer services and operations departments to develop and administer business processes, gather insights, and identify new business opportunities.

  • Develop strong dealer and distributor relationships, gathering the voice of the dealer, customer, and market intelligence.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop sales training and marketing materials to support the field team and connected retail digital solutions.

  • Work with data management to develop product and service performance reports, visualizations, and dashboards, inclusive of sales, revenue, claims, etc. for multiple stakeholders.

  • Analyze data and develop reporting based on requests from the Executive team and business users using a consultative approach.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business process efficacy and efficiency.

What you bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of Insurance/debt waiver experience and automotive finance experience preferred.

  • Strong project and vendor/client management experience.

  • Outside-of-the-box thinking, ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team-oriented approach, customer-centric focus and strong self-organization.

  • Strong understanding of auto protection programs, insurance and finance business processes and operations an asset.

  • Strong knowledge and experience using MS Excel, and a Business Intelligence tool such as Tableau or Power BI to analyze data and create reports

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation, interpersonal and business partnering skills.

  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Proactive and innovative with a strong sense of ownership
