About the Role

We’re looking for an Agricultural/Farm Insurance Account Manager to manage a book of business while developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives. The successful Client Manager will also work with backend service teams and oversee the renewal process of existing business.

What You’ll Do

  1. Provide professional and prompt customer service including phone and email on new and existing client accounts, including client questions on topics such as coverage, billing, reporting of claims, audits, endorsements, cancellations, etc.
  2. Work closely with clients to deliver extraordinary value by identifying exposures, determining the appropriate solution and advising the client as to why the solution is the best fit.
  3. Gather underwriting information in preparation for renewal issuance and possible remarket.
  4. Network within the local community by attending industry events, training, etc.
  5. Be the lead in maintaining positive, long-term relationships with the clients, insurance carrier representatives and NFP staff.

What You Bring

  1. P&C Insurance License for the coverages being serviced (RIBO, AB Gen 1, etc.) is a must.
  2. Typically, more than 4 years of industry and product line experience – servicing, broking or underwriting.
  3. Strong knowledge of risks associated with Farm Business (livestock, equine, cash crops, statement values of properties, etc.) preferred.
  4. Extensive experience in the placement of multi-line coverage on Agricultural Insurance and supporting lines of business.
  5. Confident, poised and interactive - when client-facing communicates effectively, demonstrates emotional intelligence, and understands how to tailor responses in a variety of dynamic situations.
  6. Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions.
  7. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workload and priorities.
  9. Sharp attention to detail with excellent decision-making skills.
  10. Excellent computer skills expected and EPIC fluency an asset.
  11. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
