Mission Group is seeking a Junior Helpdesk Support to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Technical Lead, the Junior Helpdesk Support will play a pivotal role in providing technical assistance and support to our internal staff and external users. Additionally, this position will support the implementation of new technology solutions and assist in ensuring their smooth integration into existing systems and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the IT field and gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

This is an in-office position located in Kelowna, BC.

What you’ll do:


  • Provide initial technical support for inquiries, assisting users with troubleshooting issues related to commonly used devices, software applications, and network connectivity.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Deliver timely support to internal staff and external users.
  • Aid in the setup and upkeep of workstations and audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations.
  • Identify, install, configure, and deploy hardware and software solutions.
  • Plan, create how-to guides, and facilitate training sessions for both internal and external users.
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with end-users, internal teams, and external tech specialists/vendors.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of IT support.
  • Additional duties as required.

What you’ll have:


  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a technical support role or helpdesk environment is considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of commonly used devices, operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), and applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Intune, Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is an asset.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) is considered an asset.
