The opportunity


Altrad is currently in search of an experienced Deputy Project Controls Manager, specializing in LNG to become a vital part of our team at a prominent Construction Project situated in Kitimat, BC. This role entails a 14:7 roster (or 20:8 roster – depending on the point of hire), working 10 hours per day. Flights and accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates on a Full-Time/Fixed-Term Contract basis. The role of Deputy Project Controls Manager will see you responsible for managing the Project Controls Team on site.


  • Workface Planning: Assist with overseeing the workface planning process and manage the workface planning team including but not limited to scope management, breakdown of CWPs into IWPs, development of IWPs, release process, progress measurement and close-out.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Assist with overseeing the planning process, including but not limited to: review client schedule and update internal schedule accordingly, communicate priorities to construction and management teams, resource-load schedule, communicate regular update to client, and assist construction team with planning their works.
  • Liaise with client representatives and attend meetings as required.
  • M2M: Management of construction automation tools deployed by AGJV with a focus on M2M.
  • Reporting: Compile and submit to client all mandatory reporting.
  • Manage the Project Controls team.
  • Provide project management support as required.


Who do we want to hear from?


  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry particular within a Project environment.
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize your workload utilizing effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Suite.
