A client in the construction industry is looking for a Plant Manager.

As a Plant Manager, you will oversee the entire production process, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. This position entails strategic planning, operational oversight, and leadership to achieve production objectives.

Plant Manager Compensation

  • Compensation of CA$125,000/yr - CA$150,000/yr
  • Great holidays

  • Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm*, Friday 9am-1pm *


Plant Manager Responsibilities


  • Formulate and implement strategic plans designed to meet production goals, enhance resource efficiency, and elevate overall plant performance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to align plant objectives with the broader company business strategy.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, prioritizing production scheduling, materials management, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that production targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste effectively.
  • Set and maintain high-quality control standards to ensure the production of exceptional product.
  • Introduce quality assurance initiatives focused on continuous improvement of product quality.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of production personnel, including supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that prioritizes safety, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to develop the skills and capabilities of the production team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards by enforcing protocols that create a safe working environment.
  • Work in partnership with relevant authorities to address any environmental or regulatory concerns.
  • Manage production budgets and oversee cost control to optimize the use of resources.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of raw materials and components.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities for process optimization and implement initiatives that drive ongoing improvements in overall plant performance.


· Plant Manager Qualifications


  • Proven experience in plant management within a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of work experience with Production Schedules
  • 10+ years of work experience with People Development
  • Experience being apart of rapid growth, change, or an acquisition required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in inventory management and production scheduling.
