What you’ll do
  1. Proactively partner with leaders to identify and address people issues or organizational design challenges including providing expert advice to develop creative solutions.
  2. Support people leaders by offering guidance on strategic initiatives, change management, and team development to ensure the successful implementation of HR strategies.
  3. Serve as a trusted advisor by presenting multiple perspectives to leaders, challenging the status quo, and expanding their capabilities.
  4. Contribute to recruitment and talent acquisition by collaborating with leaders to identify staffing needs, manage the recruitment process, and ensure we attract top talent.
  5. Collaborate with various internal experts to provide constructive feedback and drive the development of effective business unit programs and solutions.
  6. Seek opportunities to enhance the return on investment (ROI) of people programs and improve the team member experience.
  7. Share your unique experiences and perspectives with your Human Resources colleagues to enrich our collective knowledge.
  8. Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives by leading activities and programs that promote an inclusive work environment and support diverse talent development.
  9. Support community and engagement programs by participating in and facilitating initiatives that strengthen community ties and enhance employee engagement.
  10. Manage employee relations by addressing and resolving workplace issues, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
What you bring
  1. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders effectively.
  2. Aptitude to adapt various skills, including creative thinking, seamless execution, and effective collaboration across different teams and levels.
  3. Expertise in identifying business problems, deconstructing them, and designing and implementing innovative solutions with attention to crucial details.
  4. Proficiency in managing multiple complex projects concurrently, balancing both design and implementation needs successfully.
  5. Excellence in advising leaders with data-driven recommendations that enhance organizational performance, retention, and the overall team member experience.
  6. Skill in guiding teams through the future of work and transformation initiatives, particularly in adapting to remote work environments.
  7. Competent in conflict resolution, with the ability to address and mediate workplace disputes effectively, ensuring fair and constructive outcomes.
  8. Ability to navigate complex issues and ambiguity without having all the answers, thriving in fast-paced and changing environments.
  9. Commitment to understanding the business, developing innovative solutions, and improving team engagement, productivity, and organizational performance.
  10. Over 5 years of experience in strategic human resources roles.
  11. Understanding of the Canada Labour Code and federal oversight of employment practices.
  12. While not mandatory, education in Human Resources or a related field and a CPHR designation are considered strong assets.
Working conditions:

Hybrid Work Environment: 2 to 3 days in the office per week.
Domestic Travel: Quarterly travel may be required.
