Industra is a multi-disciplined, self-perform General Contractor actively seeking individuals that wish to advance within our organization and feel as though their contributions directly affect the growth and direction of the company.

We are currently seeking an intermediate to senior level project manager to join our team. This individual will have a minimum of 5 years experience and will be well versed in heavy civil and structural construction disciplines. Experience with structures (buildings) and process mechanical will provide added value.

Only experienced construction professionals will be considered for this position.

Headquartered in Surrey, BC (Cloverdale area), Industra services both Western and Northern Canada.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
  2. Minimizes exposure and risk by implementing safety standards and quality assurance controls.
  3. Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects.
  4. Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
  5. Is responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
  6. Supervises assistant managers and superintendents, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and corrects any safety or quality violations or other reported deficiencies.
  7. Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated.
  8. Reports to owner, engineers and portfolio managers about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated. Plans, implements, tracks and closeout/turnover of construction projects. Conducts project meetings.
  9. Manages day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role.
  10. Manages day-to-day client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role.
  11. Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability and project costs.
  12. Manages to and achieves or exceeds revenue goals set for projects.
  13. Generates and issues regular internal and external project reporting through company software (Viewpoint).
  14. Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken.
  15. Projects changes in scope and revenue.
  16. Administers Submittal Review process between Subcontractors/Suppliers and the owner or owner’s rep.
  17. Reviews field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  18. Keeps management informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
  19. Periodic and relatively short-term travel will be required on out-of-town projects.
