The Opportunity

We are looking for a positive and energetic Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Accounting & Finance team. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Analyst will ensure prompt processing, evaluation and reporting of expenditures for payment. This position requires a highly detail-oriented person with strong Excel skills. This role will take on the day-to-day of payables duties along with payment processing for vendors.

In this role you will:

  1. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve discrepancies.
  2. Vendor ownership and reconciliation.
  3. Support process with key stakeholders to escalate supplier credit hold situations.
  4. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  5. Produce monthly reports and maintain vendor files.
  6. Sort, match, code and enter invoices into ERP system, or invoice matching system (multi-currency / multi-entity).
  7. Support audit requirements associated to payables.
  8. Support intercompany transactions.
  9. Perform other related duties as required.

What You Need

  1. 3+ years of experience handling high volume of supplier transactions.
  2. Post-Secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience.
  3. High degree of initiative, self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  4. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  5. Attention to detail and keen ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  6. Strong knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems.
  7. Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills.
  8. Experience with SAP would be considered a great asset.
