Accounts Payable Administrator Job Description

At Superior Propane Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing and payment of vendor invoices, expense reports, and preparing month-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and pay vendor invoices and expenses in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring G/L account code accuracy.
  • Review and verify authorizations on each invoice or expense received, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment inquiries and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Facilitate new vendor requests and update vendor information in Workday, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly Vendor Reconciliations and month-end Accruals.
  • Provide cross-functional support to the finance team as needed.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance.
  • Prior accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
