We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic Water & Wastewater Infrastructure team to support our fast-growing business within Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in delivering complex water and wastewater projects, showcasing exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills. Your primary role will be to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of these projects, serving as the key point of contact for our clients and ensuring their needs are met with precision and excellence. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with technical and commercial teams, managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. By maintaining a strong focus on Client Service Delivery, you will act as a Trusted Advisor, ensuring the highest quality outcomes for every project. Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary professional teams.
  • Lead communications and relationships with clients and their stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary complex projects within collaborative delivery teams.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
  • Ensure quality system and processes are complied with so outcomes meet all standards.
  • Establish and promote a health, safety, and environmental culture.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on projects of moderately complex nature including urban pipelines and utility-public interfaces.
  • Be responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
  • Have full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
  • Be involved in exploration of the subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approaches.
  • Be responsible for acting independently and making authoritative decisions on technical matters.
  • Ability to work remotely, at client job sites, develop significant relationships with existing clients, and have responsibility for client maintenance at staff levels.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience (exclusive of any advanced degree).
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer. PMP would be advantageous.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the planning and design of infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to evaluate the progress of staff and results obtained. Ability to recommend changes to achieve overall objectives.
  • Demonstrate creative foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with client/owner and project team members.
  • Ability to effectively prepare memorandums, reports, and other written deliverables.
  • Deliver high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints, often for concurrent projects.
  • Project-level experience in more than one area such as the design and construction of water and wastewater facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, Three Water master plans/studies and Hydraulic Modelling, pipeline rehabilitation projects, pump stations, and/or reservoirs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field of study.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
