Vitalaire, a division of Air Liquide Home Healthcare is recruiting a highly energetic and motivated Regional Field Operations Manager based out of Vancouver, BC. Reporting into the Regional Director and under the functional management of national operation director and team members - procurement, asset management, distribution, etc., the Regional Field Operations Manager will be responsible and accountable for the regional management and execution of operations functions including supply chain, service delivery and efficiency programs.


The successful candidate will follow and manage the performance of the operations in the region using the KPIs defined nationally and in line with the target operating model and also transform projects relating to the different streams of the national recovery plan


How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Ensures that all operations in the region are conducted in full compliance with: internal policies, procedures, strategy and external regulations.
  • Conducts regular audits for compliance in branches
  • Drive the Operational and Regional strategy defined by the Directors (Operations, Regional, HSE) at Region & branch level and supervise compliance of the main key strategic actions.
  • Responsible for lease/premises management including new branch location, planning and roll of construction, development and branch revitalization strategy.
  • Drive P&L operational efficiency through cost management
  • Participates in planning, development and implementation of methods and procedures for enhancing HUB and local operational efficiency.
  • In line with corporate objectives Supervision of Health, Safety and Environment initiatives led and defined by the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Regional Manager and working with Area Manager to:
  • Fulfills monthly reporting requirements
  • Drive health and safety of all employees through ensuring adherence of safe work procedures programs such as safe work permits and change management.
  • Accountable for ensuring a current safety plan to address safety issues site by site is in place.
  • Coordinates root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions originating from accidents, incidents and near misses.
  • Supports Area Manager in accordance with Air Liquide Information Management System (IMS) policy (where applicable). Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and safety standards related to vehicle operation
  • Asset, inventory, intervention processes follow-up (Monitor & Adjust) reporting the performance and identifying improvement opportunities to work with the National Demand manager, Supply Chain Manager, National Scheduler Manager and Area Managers and with the collaboration of the Operations & Regional Director when applicable:
  • Supervision of KPIs to evaluate operational performance (Assets, inventory, intervention).
  • Responsible for the implementation and supervision of efficient and cost effective processes and procedures aligned with the operational model at regional level, optimizing workflow and performance
  • Manages the regional monthly capital asset requisition process and reviews requests to ensure asset levels are appropriate to service the client base, identifying improvement opportunities, in partnership with the Area Manager
  • Participates in inventory controls and levels (weeks of inventory) and ensures inventory is maintained at minimal levels identifying improvement opportunities in partnership with the Area Manager.
  • Management of change & transformation enabler at region & branch level:
  • Encourages open and transparent communication between teams and departments, promoting good practices and the correct execution of processes according to the business model.
  • Oversees, maintains and monitors training and qualification of employees (Inventory, HSE, Asset Management). Provides guidance and oversight to ensure the region meets or exceeds KPIs.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications And Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
  • Working knowledge of Gmail and Google tools including Docs, Sheets and Slides and internet
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations/project management
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry is an asset
  • Skills: Attention to detail, People Management, Results oriented, change management.
  • Travel as required - 30-50% of the time
